Anamorphosis

Anamorphosis is a process of producing a distorted image, or the image itself, that appears normal when viewed from a particular angle or through a suitable mirror or lens.

It is also a term in biology that denotes a gradual change of form to an adult or to a higher type. It involves a series of small changes, such as in some arthropods.
