Anaximander

Anaximander (611-547 B.C.) was a Greek philosopher and scientist of Miletus. He derived the universe from a material basis, indeterminate and eternal.

He is mainly known for his beliefs and teachings that the earth was cylindrical and poised in space, life began in water, and the human beings originated from fish.
