Anchovy

Anchovy is a small fish captured for the flavour of its flesh and are made into sauce. This strongly flavoured shoaling fish is usually preserved in salt and oil. It is commercially important as a food fish. Sometimes it is also used as bait. Several species of this fish are found in European waters. It belongs the Genus Engraulis and family Engraulidae.
