Ancient History

Ancient History is a classification of history which deal with the history of the ancient civilizations. It is the period between the Pre-history and the Medieval History. The period may vary according to the area under study.

Thus, in the world history, it covers the period from the ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean and the Near East up to the fall of the Western Roman Empore in AD 476. However, in Indian History, it is the period between the Indus Valley Civilization up to 12th Century AD.
