André Duchesne

André Duchesne (1584-1640) was a French historian and geographer, born in Touraine. He is also known as the "Father of French History". He is famous for his researches in it and in French antiquities, and for histories of England, Scotland, and Ireland respectively. His industry was unwearied. He left more than 100 folios in MS.
