Andrew Jackson Young, Jr

Andrew Jackson Young, Jr (b.1932-), a well known clergyman, became a famous civil rights leader and politician in the United States.

He served with Southern Christian Leadership Conference between 1964 and 1970. He represented as Democratic representative in the US Congress from Georgia from 1973 to 1979. He was ambassador of US to the United Nations during 1977-79.

Mr Young became mayor of Atlanta in 1982 and served in this capacity until 1990.
