Andrewsarchus

Andrewsarchus, zoological name Andrewsarchus mongoliensis of the order Creodonta, was a very large carnivorous mammal of the Eocene epoch. The animal's fossils were found in an expedition led by the famous US paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews (1884-1960) after whom the mammal is named.
