Andromeda

Andromeda is a term in astronomy for the large northern constellation between Perseus and Pegasus having few bright stars. The Great Nebula of Andromeda, also known as Andromeda Galaxy, is the most noteworthy part of it. This conspicuously spiral galaxy is located at about two million light years away. It is estimated twice as massive as our own galaxy.

The stars in this constellation are named Andromedae preceded by a numeral, letter, or words, such as the Gamma Andromedae.
