Angelica

Angelica is a plant native to Eurasia and North America. It is named so because it is believed to be efficacious against poisoning and disease. It is not only used as herbal medicine but also in cooking. This tall aromatic plant has large leaves and yellowish-green flowers. It belongs to the parsley family. The stalks of this plant is also called angelica. There are several species of this plant, one of them is A. archangelica, which is widely cultivated. Botanically, it is of the Genus Angelica and family Umbelliferae.
