Angels

Angels is an informal term in aviation that refers to the altitude of an aircraft. It is generally expressed in numeral omitting 'thousands of feet'. Thus 'five thousands of feet' is indicated by 'angels five'.

An unexplained radar echo is also called angel in the field of aviation.
