Anglo-Norman French

Anglo-Norman French is a form of French that was in use for several centuries in England after the Norman Conquest. This variety of language is also known as Norman French, which became the language of the English nobility. The presence of the language for several centuries in England greatly influenced the English language, particularly its legal phraseology.
