Angostura

Angostura was capital of the province of Guayana, in Venezuela, 240 miles up the Orinoco. It is also a name of a medicinal bark exported thence. The name of the city was changed in 1846 to Ciudad Bolívar to honor Simón Bolívar, the country's liberator.
