Anio
Anio is the ancient name of Aniene River of northern Latium, a major affluent of the Tiber (Tevere) River, 4 miles above Rome in central Italy. It is this river from which ancient Rome was supplied with water by means of aqueducts. It rises from two springs in the Simbruini Mountains near Subiaco, travels 67 miles (108 km) before it joins the Tiber.Nearby pages
