Anna's Hummingbird

Anna's hummingbird, biological name Calypte anna, so called after after Anna, the wife of Prince Francois Massena (c. 1795-1863), Duc de Ravoli. It is a North American bird found chiefly in California. The males of this species are very attractive having iridescent rose-red head and throat. It belongs to Trochilidae family.
