Annaba

Annaba is a port city in northeastern Algeria. Its former name was Bône. The modern town is situated adjacent to the site of Hippo Regius, a prominent city in Roman Africa. The ancient city was known for the bishopric of St Augustine of Hippo who lived here from 396 to 430.
