Anne

Anne (1665–1714) was queen of England, Scotland and Ireland. She was daughter of James II and had succeeded her brother-in-law William III to the throne. From 1707, when England and Scotland were united to form Great Britain, she became the queen of Great Britain. She became queen of Ireland in 1702 and remained queen of Ireland too until her death in 1714. She was a Protestant though her father was a Catholic.
