Annunciation

Annunciation, literally announcement, is a religious term in Christianity. It refers to the announcement of the Incarnation by Gabriel the angel to Mary. The annunciation is mentioned in Luke 1: 26-38 in the Bible. It also refers to the Annunciation Day, the church festival for commemorating this on the Lady Day on March 25.
