Antagonism

Antagonism is a state of conflict in which someone or something is found pitted against someone or something else by way of interfering with them or their actions in a hostile manner. They may be opponents, competitors, villains, enemies, or rivals. The inhibition or interference of an organism or a substance with another is also an antagonism.
