Antarctic Convergence

Antarctic Convergence is a zone in the Antarctic Ocean, called so because of a phenomena of convergence of cold and warmer waters in the region. The northward-flowing nutrient-laden cold Antarctic surface water actually sinks beneath the relatively warmer waters of the subantarctic to the north.
