Anteater

Anteater, literally who feeds on ants, is a mammal with a long snout and sticky tongue which it uses when eating ants and termites. Most of them are edentates, ie lacking of incisor and canine teeth. They belong to Myrmecophagidae family native to Central and South America which also includes the giant anteater and the tamanduas.

Several kinds of anteaters are found, such as spiny anteater (echidna), banded anteater (numbat), and scaly anteater (pangolin).
