Antidote

Antidote is a substance used as a medicine against a poison to neutralize its ill effects. However, in homeopathy, those substances are given this name which neutralizes the effects of a remedy. Sometimes this word is used for anything that neutralizes something, such as unpleasant situation or feeling.
