Anxiolytic is a term in medicine for a class of drugs that are used to reduce anxiety of a suffering patient. Such a medicine is prescribed by psychiatrists to only clinical cases of anxiety in which patients suffer from the nervous disorder with compulsive behaviour or panic attacks.
