Apothecaries' measure

Apothecaries' measure, also apothecaries' weight, was a system of units formerly used by apothecaries. The system was in use in pharmacy for measuring volume or weight of a liquid. One ounce of fluid was equal to 8 drachms or 480 minims, and one ounce troy was equal to 8 drams or 24 scruples or 480 grains.
