Appalachian Mountains

Appalachian Mountains, also the Appalachians, is a mountain range in eastern part of North America stretching from Quebeck and Maine in the north to Georgia and Alabama in the south. It stretches northeast from the tablelands of Alabama to the St Lawrence, and includes the Alleghanies and the Blue Mountains. Mount Mitchell in North Carolina is its highest peak that rises to 6,684 feet.
