Apterygota

Apterygota is a term in entomology for a class of insects without wings. They have a primitive body shape and have typically no distinct larval stage. The group includes the bristletails and springtails. Apterygota is a subclass in itself under the class Insecta, also called Hexapoda. However, Insecta does not include several orders of Apterygota.
