Apuleius
Apuleius (b. c. AD 123 - d. c. AD 170), also known as Apuleius of Madauros, was a Roman writer of North African birth, best known for his most celebrated work Metamorphoses or the Golden Ass which contains, among other stories, the exquisite apologue or romance of Psyche and Cupid. He was a student of Plato, having captivated a rich widow, and was charged at one time with sorcery.Nearby pages
