Arab Spring
Arab Spring is a name given to a series of antigovernment uprisings in North Africa and the Middle East that affected several countries. It began in Tunisia in December 2010 and ended in 2012 that brought in several changes in governance, several governments overthrown, and over 61,000 people lost their life. The countries affected were Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Bahrain, Morocco, Iraq, Algeria, Iranian Khuzestan, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Sudan, Djibouti, Mauritania, the Palestinian National Authority, Saudi Arabia, and the Moroccan-occupied Western Sahara.
