Araucaria

Araucaria is a group of a tall evergreen conifer trees, natives of and confined to the southern hemisphere. These are of a genus Araucaria, and belong to the family Araucariaceae. The genus includes the monkey puzzle and the Norfolk Island pine. Araucaria trees have stiff and sharp leaves. They derive their name from the Spanish name Arauco, a province of Araucania in Chile.
