Arbiter Elegantiarum

Arbiter elegantiarum, also arbiter elegantiae, is a Latin term for 'judge of elegance'. It is used as an epithet for a judge of artistic taste and etiquette, such as used by Tacitus to describe Gaius Petronius, the arbiter of taste at Nero's court.
