Arbor
Arbor originally meant a tree or axis. Later, an axle or spindle on which something revolves came to be known as Arbor. This name was further given to a device that holds a tool in a lathe.In Middle English, a lawn or flower bed was called arbour. Later, it was used to denote a shady garden alcove, the sides and roof of which were formed by climbing plants trained over a wooden framework or trees.
