Arbutus

Arbutus is the name of either of the two evergreen plants of the heath family, botanically the family Ericaceae.

A tree or shrub of the genus Arbutus, which includes the strawberry tree, is also known by this name.

There is also a North American trailing plant of this name, also known as mayflower, which bears white or pink flowers.
