Ardi

Ardi is a nickname given to a partial female skeleton in the form of a hominid fossil dating back about 4.4 million years old. It was found in Ethiopia in 1994. It is four feet in height, believed to be bipedal on the ground and quadrupedal on trees. Its zoological name is Ardipithecus ramidus, and belongs to the family Hominidae.
