Aristotle the Stagirite
Aristotle the Stagirite, or simply Stagirite, or the Stag, were the nicknames of Aristotle. He was so called from his native place Stagira, a city on the Chalkidiki peninsula. He was also called the "peripatetic" (walker), a term subsequently attached to his entire school of thought.Nearby pages
