Arithmetic mean

Arithmetic mean is a term in mathematics for the average of a set of numbers. It is calculated by adding all the numerical values of the set together and then dividing it by the number of the numerical values in the set.

For example:
There is a set of numbers 1, 3, 4, 4.
First we add the numerical values of this set 1+3+4+4=12
We divide the number 12 thus obtained by 4 (because we have 4 numerical values in the set).
By dividing 12 by 4, we get 3.
Thus the average is 3, which is the arithmetic mean of the set.
