Armour

Armour, also armor, is originally the metal coverings formerly worn by warriors or soldiers to protect their body from injury in a battle. It is also the layer of the metal plate covering a military vehicle or ship intended to be a protective cover in case of attack.

In biology, it is the protective layer or shell of some animals or plants.
