Arth

Arth is one of the four fundamental pursuits of life.

Arth simply means wealth.

The whole universe is composed of life, matter and energy. All these three becomes Arth when it becomes our assests or wealth.

Without Arth, the life becomes miserable. Over emphasis on Arth makes life more miserable.

Therefore, sages say be careful in the matter of Arth. It is difficult to get, more difficult to keep. When accumulated, it is most difficult to get rid of.
