Arthur James Balfour

Arthur James Balfour (1848-1930), the 1st Earl of Balfour, was a British statesman. He served as a prime minister during 1902-05. He is known for the Balfour Declaration that he issued in 1917 as foreign secretary. The declaration favoured a Jewish national home in Palestine.
