Aryabhatta

Aryabhatta I (476-c.550) was a famous astronomer and mathematician of ancient India. A little of his work survived of which Aryabhattiya, the AD 499 complete version of which is one. This work deals with mathematics, the measurement of time, eclipses, the sphere, and planetary models.
