Asaph

Asaph was a musician of the temple at Jerusalem, as per the Book of Chronicle of the Holy Bible in the Old Testament. Asaph was a descendant of Gershon the son of Levi and he is identified as a member of the Levites. One of the guilds of musicians in the First Temple were called Asaphites.
