Ascanius

Ascanius, in Greek and Roman mythology, was the son of Aeneas, the Trojan prince and Creusa, daughter of Priam. He trotted 'non passibus æquis' ("with unequal steps") by the side of his father as he escaped from burning Troy. Aeneas escaped to Latium in Italy, taking his father Anchises and his child Ascanius. Creusa, Ascanius's mother died during the escape. He was legendary founder of Alba Longa, which according to tradition was founded around c. 1152 BC.
