Ascot

Ascot is a town in southern England, southwest of London and 6 miles southwest of Windsor. It is the site of an annual horse race that takes place a fortnight after the Derby. This annual event held at racecourse in Berks was instituted by Queen Anne.

Ascot is also the name of a man's broad silk necktie, which derives its name from the name of this town by association with the formal dress at race meetings held here.
