Asian Development Bank (ADB) is an international development bank committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty. It was established in 1966. It is owned by 68 members—49 from the region. It is headquartered at Manila, Philippines. The bank assists its members and partners by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
