Asian pear

Asian pear, also called nashi in Japanese, is an apple-shaped fruit, and the tree that bears it. The flesh of the fruit is crispy. It is native to Japan and China, and is cultivated in Australia and New Zealand. Its botanical name is Pyrus pyrifolia, and it belongs to the family Rosaceae.
