Aside

Aside is a term in a play for a passage or remark that is not intended to be heard by the characters other than the characters to whom it is said on the stage. It is intended to be heard by the audience watching the drama. The remarks that are not intended to be heard by everyone present, or that is not directly related to the main topic are also said to be uttered aside.
