Aspen

Aspen is a tree. It has rounded, long-stalked, and typically coarsely toothed leaves. It belongs to the genus Populous and the family Salicaceae. Several species of this tree are found in North America and Europe. Its leaves tremble in even a slight breeze. That is why, one species in the North America is known as quaking aspen, botanically Populous tremuloides. Because of the toothed leaves, another species is called bigtooth aspen, botanically Populous grandidentata. One of the European species is called Populous tremula.
