Assiniboines

Assiniboines are certain aborigines of southern Manitoba in Canada. These American Indian people were formerly living in that area, but now they live in Montana, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Few of them that remain do farming on the banks of the Saskatchewan. A member of this community is called an Assiniboin or Assiniboine. Their language is Siouan.
