Assisted dying

Assisted dying is a practice of taking one's own life with assistance of someone else, typically with assistance of a doctor who provides lethal drugs to a patient suffering from a terminal illness or incurable condition. It relieves the patient from great suffering, and therefore some countries have made this practice lawful, such as in Switzerland and the Netherlands. In most of the countries of the world, assisted dying is unlawful.
