Assyrian

Assyrian refers to an inhabitant of ancient kingdom Assyria or something of or relating to country, its people, or their language. Assyrian is also the name of a dialect of Akkadian, the language spoken in ancient Assyria. There is still a dialect of this name belonging to Aramaic language which is spoken by a people, chiefly of Christian faith, living in the mountainous region of Syria, northern Iraq, and surrounding areas.
