Astragalus

Astragalus, literally ankle bone, is a term in zoology and anatomy for the large bone in the ankle that articulates with the tibia of the leg and the calcaneum and navicular bone of the foot.

Astragalus is also a name of a vetch widely grown as a fodder crop.
