Atlanta

Atlanta is the capital city of Georgia, a state in the United States. It is situated in northwest central Georgia. During the civil war, the city was burned by Union forces under General William T Sherman in 1864. However, by the beginning of the 19th century, the city had emerged as a large manufacturing and railway centre making it the largest city in Georgia.
